Posting Pictures on the Oregon Shed Hunters Forums

To post your picture(s) on the OSH Forum there are a couple things you need to do. The first of which is to reduce the size of your photo. Resize your photo to 7-10 inches by using a photo program of your choice. Then reduce the resolution of your photo to 72-100 pixels per square inch (psi). By reducing the size and resolution of your photo it will appear much faster on the Forum and users who have dial-up will have faster service.

Once you have reduced your photo size and resolution, you will need to upload your photo to a web server. This sounds difficult, but is very easy. We would prefer that you upload them to your own server, or try photobucket.com or a similar service. Photobucket.com is a free service. If you are still having problems, contact us at Oregon Shed Hunters and we can help you out. When your photo is on a server, you will need to know the address of the photo. A typical photo address would look like this: http://www.photobucket.com/photo/100.jpg .

Once your photo is uploaded on a web server, it can be posted on the Forum. In the message you are posting, you can add the picture by clicking the "img" button at the top, then paste or type the address of your photo, then hit the "Close Tags" button. Make sure you "preview" the post prior to posting to make sure that the picture and message is appearing correctly. If the photo does not appear when you preview your post, it will not appear when you post your message. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send us email at OSH Webmaster .
